Paper Flower: Hydrangea

Hydrangea flowers are white in the most species but it depends on the soil acidity. The acidic soil (pH below 7) will produce blue to purple flowers, otherwise if the alkaline soils (pH above 7) will produce red to pink flowers. Hydrangea flowers are produced from early spring to late autumn.

I love Hydrangea as Sakha asked me to design her wedding invitation with this flowers. I find it easy to make this Hydrangea paper flower although it's a bit tricky in the middle of the making. I bet you'll need 2 sheets of the printable.

Download and print the printable. Fold on the dashed line to cut the two parts at time.
Trim the petals and the leaves and curl its edges.

Prepare green wires and masking tape, put them together, and bend the ends.

Put the petals on the bended wires! Here you go! But... it's f a i l e d...

The important things that Hydrangea actually has the rounded shape. So, I took off all the petals and cut the wires from the longest on the top and the shortest at the bottom and bend the ends of the wire once again.

Complete the distant space with the remaining wires. Here you go!

I would love to hear if you have your paper flower arranged. Do not hesitate to share the result by tagging @evelyngasman and hashtagging #buahtantangan on Instagram. I would be very happy to answer any questions, suggestions, criticisms, written in the comment box below. Thanks for reading!
